  1. If it's the same person I am sure Derek Thornhill is a friend of mine. What sort or music did the bland play in the earlier years.

  2. My dad John Hibberd was the bass player in Gene and the Cossacks. I have lots of pictures from their gigs that my nan saved including some taken at the California Pool ballroom. He played in Saturday the 21st July the same night as Joe Brown and the Bruvvers were on and Ray Miller orchestra. I would love to share these photos.

  4. We used to go round to John's house after school and clean all the lipstick messages off their van ( it had huge bull horns on the front). We watched them practice at St Augustine's church hall in Huncoat near Accrington. Happy days.

I was at Accrington Grammar School with Dave Foster and always admired his "cool" look in the cafe near the railway station cafe. I was the drummer with the Dansaks in the 60s and vaguely remember sharing a van with the Warriors in their early days. They were a great group and I have their bootleg? CD. I would love to contact David who I believe lives in Scotland. I did send him a letter but - no reply.
