  1. My group (The Varitones)played with Chris and the Thunderbirds in Lincoln in
1962 and the drummers' name was ? Hines........
sorry I don't know his first name.He played a silver sparkle kit.
Bobby Taylor had a Strat which I bought off him
prior to this gig. He played a 335 at this gig through a Wallace amp and The Mouse played a Jazz bass (which was nearly as big as him!) also through a Wallace amp.
    Hope this is of interest.
    Regards,
    Spike Cooke.

  3. My band The Clockwork Orange opened a gig on Morecambe Pier in about 1966/7. Chris Farlowe and The Thunderbirds were headlining. That night they introduced their new drummer Carl Palmer and he was fantastic, just a kid then. Great night.

  4. Hi all.
My Dad (sadly passed away around 2 years ago now)
    Was Bruce ‘Bugs’ Waddell.
Just seeing if there is anyone who remembers him and any stories out there about his early movements in the scene.
    Much love.
    Matt Waddell x
