Rory Storm and The Hurricanes' show was recorded and supposedly this was the old tape Iris Caldwell, Rory's sister, found at her home in recent years, although when she played it, after hearing Cavern Compere Bob Wooler introduce Rory, the rest of the performance had been wiped over by a Cliff Richard recording which her mother had taped from the radio without telling anyone (!!).

At one point Rory Storm got notice because he wouldn't stay on stage so the club manager Bruno Koschmider sacked him! The Hurricanes continue to play without their leader until the end of their engagement, while Rory got job with Tony Sheridan's band at The Top Ten Club (he worked for bed).

Years ago I borrowed Johnny Guitar's diaries and the contents are on my website - www.spencerleigh.co.uk - and they were hard to read because he had such spidery handwriting.It does include his comments on some of the gigs (and on some of the girls who were present). It would be worth checking the two lists.
